Major 9th Chords
Welcome back to the Music Theory series.
This month we’re looking at major 9th chords. Major 9th chords are actually very colorful and can be built off any Major scale using that same pattern.
If we were to build a C Major 9th Chord it will include the following notes of the scale:C E G B(flat) D.
That’s 1 3 5 7 9 degrees of the scale.
