James Lazzeroni - Musical Influences

James Lazzeroni Piano Music - Musical Influences

Each one of these albums or songs had a major influence on my piano musical direction. They are listed more or less in order of their impact:

1. Yiruma & Jim Brickman

If I became a solo piano composer, it is truly thanks to the piano music of Yiruma and Jim Brickman. Their unique ability to blend deep emotion with beautiful melodies completely reshaped my perspective on music. Hearing how they could tell such powerful stories using nothing but eighty-eight keys inspired me to sit at the piano and begin creating my own sonic world.

2. Bing Crosby: Christmas Album

3. James Taylor: Before This World

4. Peter Cincotti: December Boys

5. Billy Joel: Just the way You Are

6. Leonard Bernstein: West Side Story

7. Procol Harum: A Salty Dog

8. Beatles: Abbey Road

9. Pink Floyd: The Wall

10. Elton John: Your Song
