The holiday season is just around the corner, and this year, it has brought an incredible, unexpected gift. I am absolutely thrilled to share that my solo piano cover of "The Christmas Song" has officially crossed 50,000 streams on Spotify!
To some, in the vast ocean of digital streaming, this might seem like a modest number. But to me, it means the world. It means that tens of thousands of times, my notes have filled your rooms, accompanied your quiet moments, and shared a piece of the holiday spirit with you. For an independent pianist, knowing that my piano arrangement touched so many listeners is the greatest reward.
This milestone feels like a beautiful continuation of the journey that started last year with my holiday album, Solo Piano Christmas, which was honored with an Album of the Year nomination on SoloPiano.com. Seeing "The Christmas Song"—a core track from that very album—continue to resonate with so many of you is incredibly special.
What’s Next: The Journey to My Original Piano Music
While "The Christmas Song" has been a wonderful seasonal highlight, my creative heart has been fully focused on what comes next. For the past few months, I have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to curate and finalize my upcoming album, The Best of James Lazzeroni (February, 2027).
Unlike my holiday covers, this album is deeply personal: it will feature exclusively my original, solo piano compositions. These are pieces written from the soul, representing the very best of my musical journey so far—no filters, no interpretations of other artists, just my original voice through the keys.
Reaching 50,000 streams on this festive track has proven to me how powerful the connection between a piano and a listener can be. It has fueled my passion and given me an incredible wave of momentum as I put the final touches on this upcoming release.
